.
. I came across this site today and thought I'd pass it on. From what I can tell, this site is dedicated to addressing current discoveries and/or claims about Jesus and the New Testament--the stuff you hear about in the news--from an evangelical, Christian perspective.
. The contributors are solid biblical scholars (I have commentaries from a few of them on my bookshelf), and since it's in a blog format these guys interact with the comments. It can get pretty technical, but it's good stuff.
We'll try to post more study resources on the blog in the weeks ahead. Look for the "resources" label in the future. Maybe this will turn into a nice online library of sorts.

Sesqui...
It's not a sesquicentennial (150th year), but this Sunday will be our 150th week! That's 150 Sundays we've gathered to worship God and learn from his Word. 150 Sundays to fellowship together and serve one another. Our prayer is that lives continue to be changed and that God is glorified. Thanks for being a part of it!

Miracles
So today we started a new series on "The Miracles of Jesus (and the Kingdom of God)." I'm curious, before we really get into things, what your experience and/or opinion is about miracles. Here's a working definition of a miracle: an extraordinary event, with supernatural results, brought about by God.
This little poll can get things started. If you're up to it, please share more in the comments. I'd love some thoughts before Sunday.

Fireworks
You do watch fireworks, don't you?! TV doesn't count. Not even a little. What would the 4th be without feeling the concussion of a low "boom" against your body? Here are a few lists online:

So what's the best place around town to watch fireworks? Maybe you know of a good show or spot that's not on these lists. Do tell! And then invite someone to watch fireworks with you after the church picnic.
